Shirley Hazlett’s art studio is located in Sacramento, California. She exhibits work in contemporary venues, including The California Museum, the Crocker Art Museum, the San Francisco Art Institute galleries, the Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento, and the N. Vancouver, BC, ArtSpace. In addition to pursuing a studio practice, Shirley is a Board Member of the Nelson ARTFriends of the Nelson Art Gallery at the University of California, Davis.

Shirley holds an MFA in Painting, with Honors, from the San Francisco Art Institute, and dual BA degrees in Art History and Art Studio from the California State University, Sacramento. Shirley paints and sculpts with fiber media and has permanent installations of her artwork in public venues in San Francisco andSacramento.
